Games Workshop have revealed that their new competitive miniatures game Shadespire is up for preorder on the 14th October and out the following weekend on the 21st October!
On that day you will be able to get hold of the Shadespire Boxed game (£40) containing the Stormcast and Khorne forces, the baords and all the cards you need to get started playing!
These will be followed by yet more pre order goodies on the 28th (released the 4th of November) – two brand new expansion boxes for the game, one for the The Sepulchral Guard and the other for Ironskull’s Boyz. Each expansion contains the miniatures needed to play that faction, unique cards for them and also cards that can be used by any force in the game!
Shadespire looks to be an interesting blend of a miniatures game and a card game, and by all accounts from those that have played it the game is excellent!
We will have our review and thoughts on this brand new game when it is released on the 21st!
So we have some more details on “Blightwar” and it turns out its a new Age of Sigmar starter set featuring a Stormcast Vanguard force facing off against Nurgle Daemons!
As well as a huge pile of miniatures we also get two new characters, including my new favourite model – Horticulous Slimux
For the Stormcast we get the leading lady of the box – Neave Blacktalon of the Knights-Zephyros
In addition to models we also get some new allegiance abilities including a new mechanic featuring Nurgle’s cycle of renewal and decay, which looks reminiscent of the Tallyman’s buffs!
I’m a huge fan of all things Nurgle, as those of you on our Instagram will know, so very excited to pick these up to add to my force! And I’m sure fellow Spruer Dave will be making some Stormcast re-enforcements!
We will be doing a full unboxing video and some battle reports once the set is out, but until then check out the full unveiling on Warhammer Community!
Some exciting news from Fantasy Flight Games today with the announcement of their new Star Wars tabletop miniatures game “Legion!”
The starter box is due out early next year and includes thirty-three miniatures! It features: Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Rebel Troopers, Stormtroopers, an AT-RT, and Speeder Bikes!
This will be followed by more waves of models to further expand your army!
The models are not painted, unlike X-wing, so for those who love the hobby side of wargaming will be able to get their fix painting up stormtroopers and dark lords of the sith!
We are a little out from release, but the game is looking to retail at $89.95 – so probably looking at a £80-£90 price point in the UK, putting it in the same bracket as Dark Imperium.
Its unclear at this point if these are multi part kits, however as its Fantasy Flight I’m guessing these are prebuilt models that will be good to go on the battlefield naked, or painted up ready for gaming!
We are huge Star Wars fans here at Sprues and Brews so will certainly be keeping our eye on this one!
The Death Guard match to war, the sound of buzzing flies and the rot of pestilence in the air. Typhus, the bringer of plague marches in the centre of an ever growing swarm of animated corpses; The Poxwalkers. Supporting this mass of bodies is the rage filled corrupted form of a Hellbrute, while a mindless Chaos Spawn chitters and twitches as it advances up the battlefield.
